  • A round of applause for all you BLOOD DONORS during National Blood donor Week !!!
  • Web site for Hema-Quebec: http://www.hema-quebec.qc.ca/anglais/index.htm     This is the 2nd annual National Blood Donor Week here in Canada from June 8-14. Summer and vacation time can potentially mean a drop off in donors. Not good. It could be yourself or someone close to you that needs a summer blood transfusion. If you are a qualified blood donor do pitch in a pint by giving the most worthy of gifts, the gift of life. I did my 16th blood donation on April 23 @ the Molson's Blood Donor Clinic thus I have to wait the 50-odd days until I can give again. The card they gave me after my previous donation indicated I must wait until June 18  before I can do my 17th blood donation to to Hema-Quebec. Their web site page for National Blood donor Week stated that 1,000 donations a day are needed to meet the demand of hospitals in the Province of Quebec.

  • JONAS: "DADDY" (Montreal, QC, Canada) Indie Hard Rock ... For you dads and daddios on Father's Day.
OUT & ABOUT:
  • Saturday June 20: Did a BUDOKON class @ Zazen Spa in Old Montreal in the morning; Over to SNE 2009 for interview with Guy Larocque B4 1:00 pm; Prepared my show; up to the radio station to broadcast THE EARTH LOUNGE on CINQ FM 102.3  (14:30); Ice Cream stop @ KG Cafe; Mile-End Library for books. Caugh the free concert by GLASS TIGER on Crescent Street for the street's 50th anniversary. Discovered a Light beer that I rather liked, works for summer, Bud Lime Light. Winter is for Guinness, Stouts and Ambers but summer is life in the Chardonnay lane.
  • Friday June 19: Checked out the SALON NATIONAL de l'ENVIRONNEMENT @ the Quays of the Old Port. Interview with Monsieur Corde a Linge (Mr. Clothes Line) Francois Pilon.
  • Thursday June 18: Rain, lots of rain.
  • Wednesday June 17:  The evening was an in-line skate to OUTDOOR BEACH VOLLEYBALL league (4 x 4) @ 365 VOLLEYBALL in Griffintown by the Lachine Canal. Playing for the SOBs. Was a gorgeous spring eve for volleyball.
  • Tuesday June 16: Cycleddowntown to the SAAQ outlet (No not the SAQ, that one is for Libations & Liquor while the SAAQ is the Automobile Assurance Agency) in Place Dupuis onDe Maisonneuve for my new Driver's License and Medicare photo. Smile!Say Cheesy!  Was a quick, in and out, good service experience. To get your DRIVERS LICENSE PLUS (the new drivers License with proof of Canadian Citizenship good for land-sea crossings into the USA as a Passport alternative) I discovered that requires another appointment.
  • Monday June 15:  Played softball in the CMSS mixed, recreational league at park Le Ber in Point St. Charles. Friggen rained the whole game AGAIN! apparently we dig the rain for we came back from a 5-3 deficit to win 7-5.I played Catcher thus minimal damage to the defense until my sprained finger recovers. One for Two @ the plate ... nothing special.
  • Sunday June 14: Morning walk; in-line skating in the afternoon; BUDOKON park workout early evening.
