- Web site for Hema-Quebec: www.hema-quebec.qc.ca/anglais/index.htm color="#0a0a0a"> This is the 2nd annual National Blood Donor Week here in Canada from June 8-14. Summer and vacation time can potentially mean a drop off in donors. Not good. It could be yourself or someone close to you that needs a summer blood transfusion. If you are a qualified blood donor do pitch in a pint by giving the most worthy of gifts, the gift of life. I did my 16th blood donation on April 23 @ the Molson's Blood Donor Clinic thus I have to wait the 50-odd days until I can give again. The card they gave me after my previous donation indicated I must wait until June 18 before I can do my 17th blood donation to to Hema-Quebec. Their web site page for National Blood donor Week stated that 1,000 donations a day are needed to meet the demand of hospitals in the Province of Quebec.
